Ramata Doucoure
Lead Storyteller
Ramata is an early years educator who works with New River Green Children's Centre while serving as the Lead Storyteller for our weekly Phonics Sessions. Her passion for
children's education and natural leadership abilities shine through in her work, driven by her firm belief that teachers can profoundly shape young minds through the power of
storytelling. Her sessions brim with creativity, incorporating lively songs and fostering a positive environment that emphasizes kindness, patience, and empathy. As a mother of three young children, she maintains an active lifestyle, pursuing interests in exercise, meditation, and dancing, particularly enjoying Malian music.

Aklima Karim
Session Volunter
Aklima is currently completing her Health and Social Care Level 2 qualification while raising four children and supporting our
storytelling programs. She assists with both our weekly sessions and Coffee Mornings in Somers Town. For her, Kindle Corner represents more than just a community space, t's a platform for personal growth as she explores new entrepreneurial ventures. A Somers Town resident of over 18 years, Aklima has witnessed the community's evolution firsthand and actively contributes to local development initiatives. Family stands at the heart of her life, and she cherishes time spent cooking, reading,
and, above all, creating memories with her children.

Aziza Choudhury
Marketing and Communications
Lead
Hi, I’m Aziza Choudhury, the Marketing and Communications Lead at Kindle Corner. I hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification and have recently completed my BSc in Education at the University of Southampton. My background includes hands-on experience as a daycare practitioner and as an assistant in a reception class—roles that deepened my passion for working with children and supporting their early learning journeys.
Outside of Kindle Corner, I run my own personalised gifts business, which has taught me a lot about content creation, branding, and engaging an audience—skills I now bring into my role here. Day to day, I manage Kindle Corner’s social media platforms, create content, and help build online engagement to share our mission and stories with a wider audience. I was inspired to join Kindle Corner because of its mission to build belonging through storytelling. It’s the perfect blend of everything I love—education, creativity, and community impact. What I enjoy most is the energy of the team. Everyone is so passionate and committed, and it’s truly motivating to work alongside people who care deeply about what we do.
A fun fact about me is I actually run my current business on my own and soon launching a second business. I do anything and everything that is creative!
When I’m not working, my comfort zone is being in creative flow—designing, editing, or exploring new ideas online. It’s my way of recharging and staying inspired.

Shamina Karim
Head Storytelling
Shamina brings over a decade of experience as a Camden educator, specializing in both Early Years and Key Stage 2 levels. Her teaching
philosophy centers on storytelling as a powerful tool for communicating important concepts to children. As an advocate for diverse literature, she thoughtfully integrates everything from
classic fairy tales to contemporary children's books, recognizing the unique value and learning opportunities in each. Our resident
planning expert consistently creates engaging programs, from reading challenges and book clubs to experiential learning sessions that
encourage children to share ideas and opinions. Personally, Shamina is a voracious reader who
finds solace in the written word. She maintains balance in her busy life through regular swimming sessions and values meaningful connections.

Sajna B.
Storyteller
Sajna (Shaz) has been working in early years for 15 years, leading storytelling sessions across the primary age group. Her teaching method adopts a personalized approach that is unique to each child's learning ability and style. She believes that each child needs the attention to achieve their own
developmental milestones to allow them to reach their potential. With a passion for learning new things,
she has taken on the world of SEN and feels further empowered to help children reach higher growth despite the barriers they may have encountered. She is the biggest cheerleader to her three boys
and prides herself on being their mentor and role model. An animal lover at heart, she owns a cat called Coco and a conure named Ricky, and enjoys teaching them fun tricks.

Hafsa
Storyteller
Hafsa is an experienced Early Years educator with over 16 years of dedication to nurturing young minds in Camden. With a strong foundation in early childhood education, she uses the magic of storytelling to captivate and
inspire children, fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for learning.
A passionate advocate for community support, Hafsa thrives on helping those who need it most, regularly volunteering and giving back within her local area. As a devoted mother to an entertaining young son, she knows the
value of play and connection. In her free time, she enjoys brisk walks along the river and solving word searches to keep her mind sharp.
One of her earliest memories of reading comes from her favourite childhood story, "Mrs Wobble the Waitress" by Janet and Allan
Ahlberg, which sparked her lifelong love of storytelling. Her favourite saying is "Knowledge is power," a reminder of the empowering
potential of learning in all aspects of life.

Ricardo Borges
Webdesigner
From the bustling real estate market of London’s Kings Cross to the dynamic world of web design, I’ve always been passionate about connecting people with what they need. After seven years in property, I transitioned into digital design, where I’ve spent the past eight years crafting stunning, user-friendly websites—primarily on Wix. Now, as the founder of Borg Digital Websites, I help businesses establish a strong online presence.
Originally from Brazil and Italy, I hold a BA (Hons) in Business Management from London Metropolitan University (2018). Since moving to Dublin in 2021, I’ve been embracing new challenges, fueled by my love for books, continuous learning, and creativity. Right now, I’m having a fantastic time developing the website for Kindle Corner, blending my passion for tech and literature. When I’m not designing, you’ll likely find me playing guitar, exploring new ideas, or diving into my next great read.
